Sacred Moments in December!

Eleven months in 2023 have passed, and we have entered the last month of the year. I can sense the joy of December everywhere — Christmas decorations and celebrations are happening across the globe. December is a special month; I won't delve into the debate of when Christ was born. God became flesh and shed His blood, which holds more importance for me. If it is remembered in December, so be it. I will keep Him in my thoughts throughout the year.

Today is the second of December, and after my shower, I sat in the sun with the cool breeze and the Bible in my hand — such a wonderful experience. I planned to read the book of Matthew from the New Testament. I read chapter 1 yesterday, and today I am on chapter 2. When I read the verse that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, I had goosebumps. God was born — how amazing it is! Look at God’s love for all of us. Meditate on His love and spread it this season because He is the reason for the season!

In the 11th verse of Matthew 1, wise men entered the house where baby Jesus was. They worshipped Him and gave gifts. I paused for a second. Wise men gave gifts to baby Jesus; it is a form of reverence. Are we giving our best to God? God gave His best to us — “JESUS” — now it is our turn to give Him our best. And our best is “Time” because nobody spends time during December. Everybody is busy decorating Christmas trees, baking cakes, organizing, and conducting Christmas meetings, shopping, etc. But can we sit at the feet of our Lord and spend some quality time with our Creator? That is the best way to end the year. Thank Him for carrying and protecting you throughout the year and seek His guidance for the coming year!

Give Time to Jesus! Worship Him, and He will give you His best — His Spirit! Mary conceived through the Spirit; you will experience Him when you are filled with His Spirit.

As we are nearing the end of the year, let us give the best to the world. Give Jesus to all you know.

Blessed Christmas.

In Christ,

Stephen John Brother
