Faith Energy!
A woman has
been dealing with health concerns for 12 years. Her name is not provided, but
she was identified by her health problems.
Twelve years
is a long time. Assume that this problem began when she was 25 years old. That
means she is now 37 years old. I'm just trying to explain and demonstrate how
serious her problem was to the reader.
Many people
could have given up on her; it had been a long journey of 12 years of illness,
and she could have faced emotional and mental challenges. She persisted in her
search for relief. She sought medical attention and must have sought expert
advice. She didn't just wish for healing; she went out and did her part. Why am
I saying this? Some people just pray and do nothing. They completely
misinterpret Jesus' teachings on "rest" and "no work
required."
God did not
simply wish for the salvation of the world; he sent us his son. The son did not
simply sit idle on earth; he did what was required of him.
Consider the
following scenario: I have an exam tomorrow; should I just sit and pray? Should
I just pray and sit if I have debts to pay? I pray to God for help with my
exams, and then I study and prepare for them. Here, I sought God’s help, and by
His grace, I was able to prepare for my exams. Now, how can I fail? My part is
to go to work and earn some money, so that whatever my income is, God will
bless me and help me clear my debts. Never stop praying or letting God know
what you need. Because prayer always inspires action, people who practise it
are known as "prayer warriors." Warriors do not sit around; they
fight.
After
suffering for 12 long years, she heard about Jesus. She may have had a thousand
questions or thoughts running through her mind when she heard about Jesus. What
do you think she did to win this mental battle? After hearing about him, look
what she did! She kept repeating what she had heard about Jesus. That is
crucial. I told you she was a warrior. She was on the lookout for an answer. These
days, there are sermons everywhere. We all hear, but only a few follow through
on these sermons. Most of us, however, believe in the problem rather than the
Creator.
At the end of the
story, Jesus addresses her as "daughter" (she was previously known by
her disease, but now she is referred to as a daughter) and commends her faith.
He restored her health and gave her a clean medical report.
You, too, can
triumph over long-standing problems. You must do the same as she did. Continue
to hear the Word and repeat it to yourself; rather than fighting in the natural
realm, fight in the spiritual realm and claim victory in Jesus' name.
•
I demonstrated the magnitude of her problem in the first paragraph of
the story.
•
She didn't sit around whining or complaining about her situation. Child
of God, “Arise and shine”.
•
She kept repeating what she had heard about Jesus. She eventually met
the Saviour, Jesus, in person. Nothing is too challenging for him.
God bless you!
