Do not worry!
In today's blog, I'd like
to draw your attention to the New Testament verse below. These are the words
spoken by Jesus himself. Let us pay attention to and learn from the text. I
hope you find this post informative.
I was riding the Metro
back home from the workplace, thinking about what God's word might be for the
evening devotions. God spoke to me through this verse at that point.
Matthew 6:25
(KJV)
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your
life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye
shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
It's the sixth month of the year, and the devil will
continue to remind you of your difficulties and tease you, saying things like,
"You haven't progressed yet six months into the new year." He'll make
you worry by reminding you of a laundry list of issues.
The devil will remind you of: your marriage troubles
are still unresolved, your teenage kid is still addicted, your bills are
outstanding, you haven't found a new job, you haven't healed from the
illness...
However, child of God, here is the hope for you. Trust
the word of God and fight back the negative and worrisome thoughts in Jesus'
name.
I like the amplified verse of this text.
Matthew 6:25
(AMPC)
Therefore I tell you,
stop being perpetually uneasy (anxious and worried) about your life, what you
shall eat or what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on. Is
not life greater [in quality] than food, and the body [far above and more
excellent] than clothing?
In this text, Jesus warns His disciples about concern
and even greed. His questions embarrass them. They are preoccupied with issues
about which they have no right to be concerned. They are concerned with what
they can obtain and do not trust God to provide for them. Even the birds of the
air and the flowers of the field are provided for by God, Jesus explains. What
makes them believe that He will not also provide for them? This is only one of
many situations that Jesus challenges His disciples' faith.
Worrying has the following effects:
It can increase your chances of developing high blood
pressure, having a heart attack, or having a stroke. Anxiety increases the
production of stress hormones, which causes your heart to beat quicker and
harder.
On the contrary being calm allows you to strengthen
your focus and vision of your goals, as well as raise your creativity, increase
your energy levels, encourage you to love life, and decrease the physical and
mental ageing process.
The Lord carried all your burdens on the cross, so you
are to enjoy life fully. He is the deliverer. He delivered you from the
clutches of Satan, sin, and hell, and today he wants you to be delivered from
"worrying".
There are additional things in this passage that God
has revealed to me, but I want to keep this post short and sweet. God has brought
you this far for a reason, and he will not abandon you. He'll guide you to new
heights. Have faith in him!
Go to work cheerfully, calmly face the interview,
concentrate on your examinations, and trust God to provide for all of your
needs. Trust God and do everything he has placed in your heart.
Now get up, dress up, and cheer up someone else!
Prayer:
Please, Lord, help me to be unconcerned about how my
basic requirements will be satisfied. Allow me to put my faith in You to take
care of me. Please don't make me live in fear for the rest of my life. Please
help me to trust You more. Thank you for making sure I'm okay. Amen.
God Bless You!
Waiting for this ...blessed by this🥳❤️
