Building with Wisdom!
On June 14th, I went to a prayer meeting at one of my church member’s homes. The prayer request was for a marriage alliance for their daughter.
I shared this verse in their home:
Proverbs 14:1 (KJV)
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with
her hands.
It is through wisdom that one can build or construct
a house. Building a house is not just about the physical structure—it includes nurturing
relationships within the family. Anything that is to be built requires
wisdom, and we all know that true wisdom comes from God—godly wisdom,
not the devil’s cunning or destructive thoughts.
This verse presents two opposites: one who builds
and one who destroys.
The first part of the verse says, “wise woman.” Let
us look deeper. The church is the woman who is wisely building the
house of the Lord for His second coming. No matter how many hurdles the
world and the enemy impose, the church is wisely and quietly doing her work.
Hallelujah!
Remember: the church is the woman, and Christ is
the head. The woman builds wisely because Christ is her head—His
thoughts and mind guide her actions.
In Genesis, the devil tricked the woman, but
in the New Testament, Jesus has raised a wise woman to deliver
people trapped by the devil. Hallelujah!
No matter how advanced technology becomes, no man or
machine can be as wise as the church. The church is the most powerful
and wisest entity on this earth.
Brick by brick, a house is built; soul by soul, the church is
constructing the temple of God. Quietly, she will be taken into the Lord’s
arms soon.
AI functions based on past data to provide
information, but the church looks ahead to the future and prepares us
for the coming of the Lord.
AI is no match for the church.
In the second part of the verse, it speaks of the foolish—and
we know who the foolish one is: the devil, Lucifer. He was once adorned
with God’s glory, but the foolish one lost his place and is now the fallen
angel.
Let us not be proud or boastful, lest we fall like him.
Now the devil has no home. We have physical
identity cards and addresses, and spiritually, we have our identity
in Christ. But this foolish one has lost everything.
That’s why going to church is important—because God
gives us wisdom and knowledge to be holy and pure in this world.
Our bodies are temples of God, so let us be wise and keep them
holy, that God may dwell in us, and we may be part of His church,
building the house of God for the rapture.
And finally, I told the family: when seeking a marriage alliance for your children, the key question should be - are they in Christ, and do they reflect the wisdom of Jesus?
If they do, pray, wait on the Lord, and move forward with discernment,
building a wise and godly marriage in alignment with His plan.
In a world full of options and noise, may we not rush ahead
in our own understanding, but pause and seek God’s timing and will-for
He knows what is best.
Now how does this word apply to you? Whether you are:
- Happily
married – continue to build your home on Christ and use your
marriage as a testimony to build God’s kingdom together.
- Facing
challenges in your marriage – don’t give up. Invite God into your
situation. Let Him heal, restore, and lead you to make wise, godly
decisions.
- Separated
or divorced – know that your story is not over. Depend on God to
show you the next step and seek His plan for your life with humble
wisdom and faith.
- Widowed – if your spouse has passed away, know that God sees you, loves you, and is with you. In this season, seek the Lord’s wisdom for your life and walk forward in His comfort and purpose.
In every phase, wisdom from God is the foundation.
Let us be like the wise woman in Proverbs 14:1-building, not breaking;
trusting, not rushing; waiting, not wavering.
Stay blessed, stay wise, and keep building!
In Christ,
Stephen John Brother
