HAPPY NEW YEAR!
It's the New Year! My
friend, God delights in blessing you.
Behold, I make all things new - Revelation
21:5
God has placed this verse on my heart, and the spirit has
revealed to me that this year will be different because He will do new things.
Whatever the situation, come to the Lord in the hope that he will perform a
miracle (I'm not talking about material blessings, but you may rest assured
that he will meet all of your needs according to his riches—Philippians 4:19) this year.
God might give you a new anointing, a new heart, a new mind, new ideas, fresh
perspective, and new revelation as the new thing.
Take a close look at
the text; the speaker is the one who sits on the Throne. This is God himself
speaking. When God speaks, we must pay close attention to what he has to say.
Behold, he says.
Behold is a verb that means "to look at"
or "to observe."
Spending time in
prayer, getting into his presence, reading the Bible, and waiting on him are
all acts, not inert states.
God's role is to work a new thing in your life, but we also have a
role to play. We need to take a closer look at him. Prayer is a two-way street.
You and God. He can only change things in your life if you cooperate with him. This year focus on "the one sitting on the throne". Set
your eyes on the Almighty God.
Putting your attention on the difficulties or issues will not help
you. Additionally, seeking assistance from the world will only disappoint you.
That is why I am pleading with you to fix your gaze on HIM. 'Eyes' was also a
theme in my Christmas blog. The longer you gaze at him, the smaller your issues
or challenges will seem.
An example: a plane in the sky will appear small, whereas a
plane at an airport will appear large. Come closer to the Lord this year, and
you will see how big your God is. When you realize this, all your troubles will
seem smaller to you.
Please read my Christmas blog if you haven't already done so. You can
be led astray by your eyes, so take a look at my Eyes and Heart blog.
In the New Year, let us turn our gaze to the one who created
everything. We've all heard of blood and organ donation, but today I'd like to
encourage you to give your eyes to Jesus, which means staring at Him all the
time. Will you join me in giving your eyes to Jesus? When we open our eyes and
surrender them to him, our view of things shifts dramatically.
How can you be so sure that God will do new things, you might ask?
That is an excellent question. Let me give you the answer directly from the
verse. These words are true and faithful, it says as we continue to read this
verse. To put it another way, God is saying, "Mark my words, I will do
what I have promised."
And he
that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto
me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:5 (KJV)
The words of God are true. It is truer than your issues and struggles. God's child, put your trust in him.
Keep your eyes peeled for him!
Happy 2022!
God Bless You!
