Blessed December!

I wrote a blog on November 26th, 2021, but what can I do if God inspires me to write another one within a few days?

My wife's brothers came to see us last night, November 30th (around 9:30 PM IST). For a while, we all prayed together. After the prayers, I served them a few savories to eat. While my wife and her brothers were eating and talking about various things, I sat down and began composing the "verse of the day" so that I might share it in the morning prayers at church the next day. Of all the months, December holds a special place in my heart for a variety of reasons. The first reason is that we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Savior. The second reason is that it was in December that I met my wife, became engaged to her, and married her. God has blessed me greatly in December, and I shall be eternally grateful to him.

Returning to the verse that God has engraved on my heart.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14 (KJV)

This verse had me swooning. I'll tell you why. It reads, "Glory to God in the highest." Yes, only the Most High God is worthy of all glory, honour, and praise. If you're putting someone else first in your life, Jesus must come first. In your life, only HE is entitled to the highest level of priority and attention. Isn't it true that Christmas is all about Christ? Start adoring him and honouring him in everything you do, dear reader. Christmas isn't just a one-day event; we should be celebrating Christ every day of our lives! The angels in heaven worship him all the time, and we must do the same here on earth. Take some time to spend with the creator, no matter how busy you are. Remember how the three kings adored the infant Jesus? We're all swamped with work because of WFH (work from home), but it shouldn't stop you from spending time with God.

“Peace” on earth is the second point in this verse. Peace means a quiet and calm state of mind.

Where can one find tranquilly these days? With so many viral variations on the planet, everyone is concerned. People are terrified of each other. Only Christ can dispel our worries and provide us with the strength we need to face the issues we face today.

What a beautiful thing it would be if everyone on the planet worshipped the Almighty. There would be a great deal of peace, and the world would be a lot better place to live. People who love Christ will also always honour him in all aspects of their lives, and they will always proclaim good news to humanity. Jesus is the good news. Only Christ gives us true peace, and he is full of goodness.

Notice how the angels are praising God and wishing humanity peace. I sincerely request that you do the same. Praise God at all times and be the bearer of good news. The world desperately needs peace, and true peace comes from Christ, who said in the Bible, " my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, (see John 14:27).

I declare peace and good things to happen to you this month, in Jesus' name, Amen!  When I say "good things," I mean that the best and only good thing in the world, Jesus Christ, is invited into your life.

Are you wondering why I am reiterating the same points? When we can read and hear the awful news from around the world over and over, I have no qualms about repeating myself. And keep in mind that angels were singing, and that in a song, lines are repeated, and so I am repeating my point over and over.

I love to tell it again: at Jesus' birth, angels sung praises and announced the good news. Today is your turn. The peace I'm speaking to has a more nuanced meaning. Human reconciliation with God leads to true peace.

God bless you!
