Not tomorrow, but today!
What are you doing with your 'now'? Are you squandering your time or putting it to good use?
The wise will make the most of the time they have and prepare for
the future, whilst the unwise will only think of temporary pleasure and be
pleased with it, completely ignoring the future.
We've all heard the adage, "what we sow, we reap." What
are the seeds you're planting?
Remember that later will always
come, and you will reap the rewards of your current efforts.
Why am I bringing this up? You will wind up somewhere other than
heaven if you do not embrace Jesus as your personal savior now. The Bible claims that there is far
too much agony there (hell), and that the worm does not die and the fire does
not go out. See Mark 9:48
I'd like to tell you about an incident that may pique your
interest in getting saved.
My friend's father would occasionally attend church, but he
was never a regular. He used to go to church only when he was having a problem
and then get back to work. We all urged him to attend church more frequently
and to invite Jesus into his life. He continued to ignore our words and said,
"I have so much to do in life," "Salvation can wait," and
"I have plenty of time." He was infected with the virus and became
unwell in 2021. He now longed to accept Jesus as his savior and be baptized right away. He understood that he had been disregarding God's voice all these
days and resolved to amend his ways. His wish was a distant dream during the
lockdown; no one was available, and he was unable to get baptized owing to the lockdown.
He eventually died without being baptized. When the time was right (now), he did not take advantage of it
and did not prepare for eternity, and when he was ready, he did not have the
luxury of being baptized. What a tragedy!
I'll write a blog about 'baptism' another time. But, yes,
Baptism is essential for all of us.
Do not expect to live long and receive Christ as your savior after retirement or reaching a particular age; you never know what will
happen tomorrow, so what can you do? We only have one life, and we must make a
choice while we are still living on this planet. No, I'm not trying to scare
anyone, but we must take this seriously. I am not opposed to a long life, but
we do not dwell in this world indefinitely. Death is cruel, and it can strike
anybody, young or old. So why risk it?
God loves you and died on the cross for you, but he will not force
you to accept his forgiveness. You must decide whether or not you want to be
saved. He understands and respects your choice.
Remember, "Sins are like credit cards: enjoy them now,
pay later."
The world you see right now is fleeting, death is real, and life
after death is forever.
"Salvation is critical," and it cannot be
postponed, so do not dismiss God's voice. If you hear the Good News today, it
is "now" that you should
be saved. Is sin enslaving you? Run to Christ, and he will set you free.
Hebrews
3:15 (KJV)
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden
not your hearts, as in the provocation.
Invite JESUS into your heart right now!
God bless you!
