A well-known biblical tale
What were your plans
or goals for 2021? What were you able to accomplish? To be honest, being
healthy is what we all hoped for in 2021, right?
Are you straying from
the path you've mapped out for yourself?
Don't worry, this
article will assist you in getting back on track.
Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand (John 6:1-14)
The Feeding of the 5,000 is also known as the "miracle of the five
loaves and two fish". According to the Gospel of John, Jesus fed a crowd
with five loaves and two fish supplied by a boy.
This miracle is also mentioned in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
Lessons that we can learn from
this narrative are:
Take a seat on the ground (in Christ).
Yes, we must sit at the feet of the Lord. Things will move in your life only if
you rest and wait on God. Enough with the frantic pace of life; it does no one
any good.
In the hands of Jesus, when you place your little that you have, it is
blessed. Placing yourself in Christ is the first step. Submit yourself to HIM.
Say thanks for whatever you have, no matter how little it may be.
To begin, sit at God's feet for five minutes every day
(early morning, or whenever it is convenient for you). As you can see from the
narrative, they were told to sit in 50-and 100-person rows. It was a massive
audience, and seating them in rows of 50s and 100s would have taken time.
Similarly, if you lack the discipline of prayer, it will take some time for you
to establish it as a regular practice. Also, if you are disorganized, he will
instruct and discipline you, and, as a result, you will become more organized.
Place yourself in His
capable hands. Give thanks for whatever you have in your refrigerator/bank/closet,
etc. Maintain a grateful attitude.
After you've thanked
him, say your prayers. Inform him of your prayer requests.
As Jesus broke the bread and fish, it was sufficient for the
multitude. Breaking is crucial; without it, there could be no miracle. Remember
that Jesus was crucified, and we have healing and redemption because of his
broken body and sacrifice.
He is the potter, and
we are the clay; if you put yourself in his hands, he may work on you first,
rather than the situation. Be patient; he will create the best possible version
of you. Have faith in him.
Everyone was aware
that there were five loaves of bread available. When the loaves are broken into
pieces, no one knows how many bread pieces there are. As a result, the crowd
was expecting a piece of bread. If there were only 5 loaves, the sixth person in
line would go hungry. That is why Jesus broke the bread. Expect to feel filled
while you are in His presence. He isn't going to leave you empty-handed. When
you place your prayers in his hands, you can surely anticipate good things to
happen. Even if you don't grasp the method, he will meet your needs.
Place the rest of the year in the hands of Jesus. Let him
break down the months into weeks and weeks into days, days into hours and hours
into minutes. Enjoy every moment. Live one day at a time, relax, now that you
have placed your remaining days of 2021 in his hands. Sit and enjoy life. When
you are not stressed, you become healthier. Stress causes sickness and death,
ultimately. Remember, everyone got pieces of bread and not full
loaves. Allow Jesus to lead you every day of your life.
I am not going to mention all of the lessons that this miracle has
taught me. Our concentration is on sitting at the Lord's feet, surrendering our
entire selves to him, and witnessing him accomplish a miracle in our lives.
The narrative began with five loaves and two fish, and
finished with twelve baskets of leftovers. Isn't that incredible?
2021 may have begun on
a terrible note, but if you sit with God daily, you can conclude it on a
beautiful note.
Let us place 5 months and 2 days in Jesus' capable
hands.
God bless you!
